Garza Home Vlog: When Three Dogs Interrupted Our Evening Routine

As a working couple with two kids and three dogs, Rosa and I were always looking for ways to get ahead and make our lives easier. We had a routine of working hard in the evenings to ensure that the following day would be a little smoother (especially going into a Sunday). We encouraged our children to be productive too, by reading a book or engaging in some other activity that didn’t involve TV or video games. But sometimes, our furry friends didn’t receive the memo.

Our youngest puppy (a young one year old stray dog that found us) was a ball of energy, always seeking attention from anyone who would give it to her. She would nudge us with her nose, asking for us to throw her tennis ball just one more time or ask us to rub her ears. We would try to work for a few minutes, but she would always interrupt us with her requests. Our alpha dog (a 7 year old husky), who had waited patiently for seven years to be appointed alpha (and we even had a small ceremony where my son anointed him alpha), was also starting to get restless. And to our surprise, even our oldest dog (a nine year old beagle), who had enjoyed nine happy-go-lucky years of asking for food, finally asked for some attention.

It was getting difficult to focus with all three dogs asking for our attention. So, we decided to take them to the dog park to let them burn off some energy. The excitement levels were off the charts as soon as we mentioned it to them. We could barely contain our pups as we loaded them up in the car.

Once we arrived at the dog park, our dogs ran around like they had never been outside before. They chased after other dogs, played fetch, and ran circles around us. It was an amazing sight to see all three of them so happy and full of life. For a moment, we forgot about our work and just enjoyed watching our furry friends have a blast.

As we headed back home, we all felt more relaxed and at ease. The dogs were tired out and ready for bed, and we were able to get a bit more work done before calling it a night. We may have had to adjust our plans a bit, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Our puppies bring so much joy and laughter to our lives, and we’re grateful for every moment we get to spend with them.

Jesse and Rosa helped us a lot. When we started, my wife and I did not know what to do and the process seemed overwhelming but the Garzas helped us with everything from start to finish.
